Just ten minutes before time, José Izquierdo made his comeback at Club Brugge. The Colombian still appears to be hugely popular, as there were perhaps as loud cheers at his substitution as at Vormer's goals.
"I'm very happy to be back. I really enjoy playing here so it's nice to be back on the pitch here." The crowd favorite was clearly moved by the warm welcome the supporters gave him. "The supporters give me a lot of love and I really enjoy that. This is my home. Their support is a good motivator to continue working." Izquierdo is back earlier than expected and he owes that entirely to the good work of Club's staff. "We have good physios, that's why I'm back so quickly. I'm very grateful for that, so I want to congratulate them for that as well. It's working around the clock on my return. Not only here at the club, but also at home, through nutrition, ...
