Matej Mitrovic is out with a fractured ankle

Club Brugge will be without Matej Mitrovic for the next 2 months. The Croatian continued to experience discomfort after a blow he received during the away game against Lokeren, and a subsequent scan revealed a fracture in the ankle joint. Mitrovic is now returning to Belgium to work on his recovery.

On December 27th, Matej Mitrovic sustained an ankle injury during the match against Lokeren. In Doha, the Croatian worked on his return, but he continued to experience discomfort. A supplementary CT scan yesterday, conducted in collaboration with the Aspetar hospital and Dr. Pieter D'Hooghe, revealed a fracture in the ankle joint. The Croatian international left the training camp in Doha on Wednesday and flew back to Belgium, where he will begin his rehabilitation after a few weeks of mandatory rest. The goal is to get Mitrovic match-fit for the start of the Play-Offs.
