Possible opponent in Play-offs UEFA Conference League

This afternoon the draw for the UEFA Conference League Play-offs was held in Nyon, despite the fact that the third preliminary round has yet to be played. If Club eliminates KA Akureyri, it will meet Osasuna. The winner of the double confrontation enters the Conference League group stage.

Even before we take on KA Akureyri in the third qualifing round, we already now our possible opponent in the Play-offs following this afternoon's draw. If we set aside the Icelandic team, we will face Osasuna in a double confrontation as a final hurdle before entering the group stage.

The first leg would take place on Thursday 24 August in Spain, the return would be played in Jan Breydel on 31 August.

CA Osasuna

CA Osasuna finished 7th in La Liga last year and were the runners-up in the Copa del Rey following a 2-1 defeat in the Spanish Cup final against Real Madrid.

The Spanish side have played 28 European games in the history of the club and are placed 85th on the UEFA ranking.

Once Osasuna played a Belgian team, against KSV Waregem in the 1985-86 season. Two players have played for both Club as Osasuna: Javier Portillo and Francisco Silva.
