Club Brugge and Bayer 04 Leverkusen reached an agreement today on the final transfer of Odilon Kossounou.
Kossounou (20) has been playing at Brugge since 2019. Club acquired the Ivorian from Sweden's Hammarby IF. In October 2019, at the age of 18, he made his debut with the first team of blue-black. With his speed, dueling power and technical skills, the central defender fully emerged in Brugge.

Kossounou made 55 appearances for Club, winning 2 national titles as well as the Super Cup this weekend. His strong sporting performances were also noticed in his native country. Kossounou made his debut for Ivory Coast against the Red Devils in October 2020 and quickly became a title holder with "Les Éléphants".
Odilon Kossounou signs with top German club Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The team of coach Gerardo Seoane & technical director Rudi Völler finished 6th in the Bundesliga last season.
