On November 2, 1890, a few pioneers meet in the café 'Ville de Cologne' on the Old Station, today 't Zand. At a time of ideological contrasts and social classes, the 'Brugsche Football Club' is founded there, the forerunner of Club Brugge. The beginning is bumpy. Even before the official recognition, the initiative splutters apart, but the fire for soccer is not extinguished. A year later, on November 13, 1891, the 'Brugsche Football Club' officially resurrects. Thus begins our Blue-Black story which, 134 years ago today, received its first chapter.
