An overview of our internationals

Many of Club's internationals are set to spread out their wings during the coming international break. As our Red Devils compete for the Nations League win, others play WC 2022 qualifies. An overview!

Charles De Ketelaere, Simon Mignolet and Hans Vanaken - Belgium

National team coach Roberto Martinez called De Ketelaere, Mignolet and Vanaken for the conclusion of the Nations League, making Club the main supplier of the Red Devils. Our national team ended top of Group 2 with 15 points in its qualifying round, leaving Denmark, England and Iceland behind. The first spot earned Belgium a place in the Nations League Final Four.

Four teams are out for the trophy: France, Spain, Italy and Belgium. On Thursday 7 October, Belgium will be facing world champions France in the Semis. A win takes Club to the Final where it is set to meet the winners of that other duel between Spain and Italy.


Thursday 7 October, 20h45: Belgium – France (Final Four Nations League Semis)

In case of a win: Sunday 10 October, 20h45: Belgium - Winner Spain-Italy (Final Four Nations League Finals)

In case of defeat: Sunday 10 October, 15h: Belgium – defeated in Spain-Italy (Final Four Nations League) 

Eduard Sobol – Ukraine

Our Ukrainian left back has been part of his national team for some time now, and the uprising of new coach Oleksandr Petrakov has not changed this. Two qualifiers are up for Ukraine, currently second in its group behind France. 


Saturday 9 October at 18h00: Finland – Ukraine
Tuesday 12 October at 20h45: Ukraine – Bosnia-Herzegovina

Noa Lang – Holland

Noa Lang has been capped for the first time, as national team coach Louis van Gaal selected our winger for two WC qualifiers. Oranje currently holds first place in its group with 13 points, just as many as Norway, and two ahead of Turkey.

Eder Balanta – Columbia

It has been some time since Eder Balanta was last called to the Columbian team. But national team coach Reinaldo Rueda has rewarded him for his fine start to the season. WC qualifiers for Balanta on the menu too, as Columbia currently holds 5th place in a group of ten.


Friday 8 October at 1h: Uruguay – Columbia

Thursday 14 October at 23h: Columbia – Ecuador

Jack Hendry – Scotland

Club's sturdy defender has become a mainstay at Scotland, also playing WC qualifiers this break. The Scots are runners-up in their group.

Senne Lammens, Nick Shinton and Ignace Van der Brempt – Belgium U21s

Three Club youngsters have been selected by national team coach Jacky Mathijssen as they play two EC qualifiers with the Belgian U21s. The EuroU21s will be taking place in 2023. Our U21s are currently topping their group.

Tuesday 12 October at 20h: Belgium U21 – Denmark U21

Noah Mbamba, Cisse Sandra and Lynnt Audoor – Belgium U19s

Belgium's U19s have two friendlies and a training week in Marbella. 


Saturday 9 October at 16h: France U19 – Belgium U19
Tuesday 12 October at 16h: England U19 – Belgium U19

Antonio Nusa – Norway U17s

Summer signing Nusa will be joining Norway's U17s, playing three EC qualifiers. 


Wednesday 6 October at 11h: Azerbeidzjan U17 – Norway U17
Saturday 9 October at 11h: Norway U17 – Luxembourg U17
Tuesday 12 October at 16h: Norway U17 – Belgium U17
