Philippe Clement saw his team record a deserved 3-0 victory against Zulte Waregem. Thanks to this win, Blauw-Zwart is again approaching to within four points of leader Union.
"We are satisfied with this deserved victory and with the fact that we are taking 9 out of 9 in the league. We also scored some nice goals and also put some nice combinations on the mat. However, it's not like the whole match was top notch. But we are continuing to work to make that better and integrate new guys into the group, take points and continue that way. I did see some improvements from last week. We need to continue to build on that. It's growing and building automatisms with new guys. I remember we won 3-0 today and created a lot of good chances. We have to keep the balance in the team, which I thought was better in general now."
Unfortunately, the turf is not looking like a billiard cloth at the moment. "Obviously the state of the grounds is not in our favor. I know the greenkeepers are doing everything they can to keep the field as good as possible or better, but at this time it's not obvious. We are working on it. I have also clearly said to the players that we have to do it ourselves and I have not seen anyone complaining. We know the greenkeepers are working hard. We support them in this story that they can't do anything about themselves." (VL)
