PSG travels to Madrid in great spirit for the Champions League fixture against Real. Former Club Brugge player Meunier and Neymar were back from an injury that had sidelined them for a month. The two were in Tuchel's starting line-up. After fifteen minutes play, the home side's first glance at goal immediately resulted in a goal. Fomer Lille player Gueve picked out Icardi who tapped into the empty net.

The visitors tried to hit back, but lacked composure in the final third. The hosts were less merciful. Just over the half hour mark Di Maria doubled the lead. PSG were in the driving seat and the 2-0 half-time score didn't change in the second half.

With this win PSG keep a nine-point lead over Angers who beat Nîmes Olympique 1-0. (VM)

Ramos' poor back pass was intercepted by José who poked home after just two minutes. Real tried to turn things around, but failed to get the shots on target. The home side even needed a brilliant save from Courtois or the visitors would have been up by two.

As the game progressed, Real Madrid were getting more grip on the game and just before the half-time whistle Benzema netted the equaliser.
