A couple of players shared their reaction following the UEFA Conference League group stage draw. Read all about how they feel about Bodø/Glimt, Besiktas and Lugano.
Brandon Mechele:
"This is a fun draw, I think. I have fond memories about Beşiktaş and I hear that Bodø/Glimt is a good side. They play on artificial grass, which gives them an advantage. I don't know much about FC Lugano, we will have to analyze them a bit more. But I'm already looking forward to play these teams."
Antonio Nusa:
"I'm excited about this draw. They are good teams and it will be challenging matches. I'm looking forward to return to Norway. We'll do anything in our power to get through this group."
Hans Vanaken:
"This is not an easy draw. I don't know much about Bodø/Glimt, but Hugo (Vetlesen) will tell us all about it obviously. Beşiktaş is a tough opponent with an unbelievable atmosphere in their stadium. It will be a real test for us. Lugano bowed out of the Europa League preliminary round after being paired with Union, but they looked solid. All in all, I think this is a tough group, but we are Club Brugge so we have to go through."
Simon Mignolet:
"Bodø/Glimt will be quite the journey, so I'm curious when we will face them in Norway. The weather could be of an influence. It will be fun for Hugo to return there and he will tell us more about their strenghts and weaknesses. Beşiktaş is a team that I would have preferred to avoid, because they are a good side. I think they'll be the toughest one to beat. Lugano is a team that I'm not very familiar with. They were eliminated for the Europa League by Union, so if they can beat them we should be able to do so as well."
Maxim De Cuyper:
"I'm really looking forward to these European games. Beşiktaş will be tough. If you finish third in the Turkish league, then you are a top side. It's a team with a tremendous home reputation and a lot of European experience. Last year I went to see Beşiktaş-Fenerbahçe live and that was very impressive. This group is not an easy one, but we have to believe in our chances like we did when we were paired with Osasuna. And then we'll have a good chance to advance."
