After the disappointing defeat in the final against Standard, coach Deila pointed mainly to the lack of efficiency.
"We had a difficult start, because they scored pretty early," the coach began his account. "Admittedly from a free kick, but I thought it was a nice goal from them. That was difficult for us to defend on, but on the other hand it wasn't good enough from our side. In fact, we gave them energy, both the supporters and the team. In the last 15 to 20 minutes of the first half, I think they started to get a little tired and we came into the game more. We were able to put more variation in our play and create more situations around their sixteen yards. That didn't really result in 100% chances and Arnaud(Bodart) also had some good saves. They also had one more chance then, but in the second half I thought we were the better team. Again, we didn't have enough really big chances because we didn't get enough players in the box. In that we had to be more accurate and take the chances that were there. Then we finally scored that 1-1 and emphatically went looking for that second one. Then at that moment we get the 2-1 and that should never happen. There's no way I can disguise that. Conclusion is that we lose here and are very disappointed. We are the better team and have the best chances, but unfortunately we are talking about the same shortcomings again. We need to score more and the easy chances we are giving up need to come out.
