Ruud Vormer brought Club back to level in the second half after a clever assist from Mata. Blauw-Zwart steamed on to its momentum and won deservedly in the end. The Bruges captain was therefore very proud of his team.
"It was a very good performance by Club today. I enjoyed it. How we started, that was fantastic. You also made the 1-0. Then you saw when Genk made the 1-1, that a little bit of fear crept in. You created a bit of stress, just like against Ostend. That has to come out. You know, you can always get a goal against. Every team gets one. Then in the second half we put it right. We went full throttle and scored two nice goals. For the neutral spectators, this was a very nice match. It's still a long way to go, but we're twelve points away now. But we want to show it every game, that's what we became soccer players for. And then we'll see." (KN)
