Ruud Vormer captured the 3-0 final score with a clever free kick in the closing stages of the match. Club won smoothly against Anderlecht and now goes into the international break with a good feeling.
"It is always a special match against Anderlecht," Vormer spoke after the match. "For us as players, but also for the supporters. And you always want and need to win those at home. We showed that well today. We played a very good first half and created a lot of chances. They had one chance or so through Verschaeren. We played a good game and deservedly won today. You also felt the balance of power on the field. We were just stronger, physically we were better. We trained hard this week and it paid off now. I'm glad my goal went in. I trained a lot on it and I'm happy it went in the corner. Now things are running smoothly in the league, we are picking up results again. In the beginning things were a little bit against us. Although the training sessions went well, only the small details were missing then. Also the supporters for example, we missed them." (KN)
