Simon Mignolet: “Didn't give away anything"

Simon Mignolet didn't have a lot to do in the game against OH Leuven. The team didn't give away a single chance, so it's another clean sheet for the goalkeeper.

"It's never easy and relax during a game, but it's true that the team did its job perfectly. We didn't give anything away today, despite Leuven being a quality team. We played a good match today, mature. And in between two Europa League matches, which is not always easy to keep the focus. I'm happy with the three points today and the way we won. You can be a young player and still play mature. The youngsters did well today. The coach explained to them what he expects from him and they delivered today. We can be happy with our performances at Kyiv and today at home. Now we have to keep going like this."

In a few days Club hosts Dynamo Kyiv for the second leg. "Thursday is another big game, but from now on it will only be important games until the end of the season. We have a good chance to go the next round of the Europa League. That's our goal and that's what we have to try and achieve."

Simon Mignolet dedicates this victory to his grand-father who just passed away. "I knew beforehand that it was going to be a clean sheet, because I had him by my side in goal today." (KN)
