Simon Mignolet: “Fifteen clean sheets gives confidence”

Except for a header and a shot of Oulare, Simon Mignolet had no work. The goalkeeper kept his sheet clean again, for the fifteenth time this season.

“We knew beforehand it would be a match with many duels and high intensity on a bad field. That is why we could not play the way we like. Standard had twelve days to prepare for this game which you could clearly see. Their organisation was good. We got a couple of chances in the first half and had to score. They were better in the second half but we were not brought into troubles. This draw is a fair result. A point at Standard is never bad although we wanted to take the three points home today. We conceded few big chances which makes me happy. Fifteen clean sheets in the Jupiler Pro League gives our defence confidence.” (SF)
