No winners in the derby between Club and Cercle as it ended up 0-0. Club had the better chances, but the Cercle goalkeeper prevented a deserved lead for Blauw-Zwart. Despite the scoreless draw, goalkeeper Mignolet was still satisfied with what he saw.
"It was a game with a lot of stress and commitment," the Club goalkeeper began. "I think we took a step forward today compared to some previous games. Initially there was a lot of intensity, but overall I think if you add up the number of chances we deserved from winning. Cercle had one chance against at least five for us, but unfortunately no ball went against the nets. In such matches it is always difficult to play, but I think with the soccer we managed to bring we deserved the three points. In the end, no ball went against the nets and it stayed 0-0 in the end."
"Cercle had some dominance for about 15 minutes in the second half, but I was able to defuse their only chance. After that we again took over the initiative and there was only threat from us. Unfortunately there was no goal, but I think we have to be positive in that sense and learn the things from this match what we did well. The Cercled goalkeeper was unbeatable today, but that's just soccer. We do lose two points again, but I am not so much concerned with the total number of points. Club should basically win all its home games, but today it didn't work out, but I think there was a lot of positives that we can build on in the future." (FDC)
