The Pro League Hall of Fame is reserved to those players with an exceptional contribution to Belgian football. After an impressive carreer, Hugo Broos undoubtedly falls within that category.

13 players have been called to the Hall of Fame so far, four of which have a Club past: Raoul Lambert, Franky Van der Elst, Jan Ceulemans and Wesley Sonck. Hugo Broos would be a natural next player to join that illustrious list.

Other nominees are Enzo Scifo, Erwin Vandenbergh, Frank Vercauteren, Lei Clijsters and Stéphane Demol. The two reaping the most votes will be lauded on 25 May at the occasion of the Pro League Awards.

Hugo Broos' carreer at Blue & Black

With over 150 games and five seasons at Club Brugge, Hugo Broos is one of the mainstays in defense at Club Brugge in the Eighties. But that's not where it ended for him. After his active playing carreer, he kicked off a prodigious training carreer as well, starting out at RWDM before joining Club Brugge in 1991. This chimed in a very successful time for Club, with two league wins, two Belgian Cups and four Supercup wins. Find out more about Hugo Broos in our Club Brugge history through Olympia.
