“Starting from kickoff gave me an incredible feeling. I have been dreaming about this moment since I was a child. A dream came true today, this is incredible. I have no words for this. Everyone is looking at you when you step on the field. You are intimidated and I felt the pressure and a bit of stress. Personally I think my first half was not that good but my teammates helped me at halftime. They kept on telling me to keep on going and that things would be fine at the end."
The 19-year-old West-Flemish youngster scored the third goal of the Blues with a wonderful kick. "That gave me an incredible feeling. I was totally shaking. I am extremely happy. The ball arrived perfectly in front of my feet. I controlled the ball and thought: don't think, just fire. It was a beautiful goal with a nice speed. Unfortunately Beerschot scored a second goal afterwards and we got a red card. But we kept on going and I am very happy with the victory." (KN)
