The match
Club's 51stand final match of the season will move to Union's Joseph Marien Stadium. Both teams face each other for the 90thtime in First Division history. The 42 previous moves to Brussels produced 11 wins, seven draws and 24 defeats.
Earlier this season, both clubs played a 2-2 draw in Forest. A double lead through Andreas Skov Olsen and Hans Vanaken was still erased by Union through goals by Christian Burgess and Bart Nieuwkoop.
Hans Vanaken is the overall top shooter of these playoffs. He already hit 4 goals in 5 matches. Club's Limburg captain scored the most goals (24), gave the most assists (13) and played the most matches (67) of any player who ever participated in the Champions' Play-Offs in Belgium.
Club Brugge is the only team that was able to score in every match of the playoffs. It also undertook the most goal attempts (72), passed the most passes (2,407) and had the most ball possession (55.5% average) in the playoffs.
The opponent
If Union wins Sunday, while Antwerp does not win in Genk, they will be national champions for the 12th time in their history. To become champion, Union must do something they haven't managed since promotion: win at home against Club.
Karel Geraerts' team will have to do without Siebe Van der Heyden (injury) and Senne Lynen (suspended). Other players Boniface, Teuma and Vertessen are also uncertain.
Union's top shooter is still Simon Adingra (11 goals) and the assist king is captain Teddy Teuma.
Milestones
Hans Vanaken can play his 390th game for Club Brugge. Noa Lang can also be in action for Blauw-Zwart for the 125th time.
For Cisse Sandra, it may be the 25th match at Club.
Simon Mignolet can play his 210th match in First Division (66 for STVV and 144 for Club).
Casper Nielsen can play his 75th match in First Class against his ex-club (39 for Union, 36 for Club).
Referee
Bram Van Driessche is the ref for the final match of the season. He will be assisted by linesmen Yves De Neve and Rien Vanyzere.
