Will Club NXT U15 put the crown on a strong season on Saturday?

On Saturday, Club's U15 kept their Genk peers at bay by drawing 1-1 in a mutual game. With two games to go and a game against rival Standard ahead, Blauw-Zwart has everything in its own hands. Will Club NXT U15 crown a strong season next Saturday at home?

The season got off to a rough start for our U15, winning only twice in the first five games. Especially a strong series after the turn of the year gave the U15 a boost with an eye on the championship. First Genk did win at Jan Breydel (1-2 on 13/01/2024), but the youngsters from Bruges then straightened their back and took 19/21 in the run-up to the Play-Offs. The regular league thus ended with 40 points after eighteen games.

  • 27/01/2024: Club NXT 6 - 1 KV Mechelen
  • 10/02/2024: RSCA 0 - 0 Club NXT
  • 24/02/2024: Club NXT 3 - 2 Standard
  • 2/03/2024: Club NXT 3 - 2 Antwerp
  • 9/03/2024: Club NXT 4 - 0 Zulte Waregem
  • 13/03/2024: Charleroi 1 - 3 Club NXT
  • 16/03/2024: OHL 0 - 3 Club NXT

EXCITING FINAL BATTLE

And in Play-Off 1 Group A, Blauw-Zwart simply continued that line. Club started the final battle with a bonus of four points and did not let any opponent sneak closer for the time being. First Club took the three points at home against Antwerp after a spectacular game (6-5) and last weekend Club took an important point in and against Genk. With two games to go, Blauw-Zwart is now seven points clear of Genk, but the Limburgers have played one less game. Anyway: if Club wins its next match, it will be champion.

The current standings in Play-Off 1:

And that match is coming up on Saturday, at home against the youngsters of Standard. With a win, no competitor can overtake our U15. Will you come and cheer our youngsters to the title? Meet Saturday at 2 p.m. on field 5 at the Jan Breydel Stadium!
