Vermant is een centrumspits en jeugdproduct van Club Brugge. De zoon van oud-clubspeler Sven Vermant staat al meer dan twee jaar in de spits bij Club NXT en heeft daardoor al de nodige ervaring opgedaan. Vooral aan het einde van Club NXT’ eerste seizoen in de Challenger Pro League kwam de all-roundspits vaak aan spelen toe.
Onder Rik De Mil mocht Vermant zijn debuut maken bij het A-elftal tijdens de competitiewedstrijd op het veld van KV Kortrijk.
