Koren deliberately chose the Club NXT project, the DNA of Club Brugge, and an environment where there is a systematic investment in young, up-and-coming talent. In addition to training, Club NXT offers a program that prepares him—both as a player and as a person—for the next steps in his career: playing in the Challenger Pro League, cup competitions, and moving up to Club Brugge’s first team… Several players have already followed this path before him, and that played a decisive role in his decision.

Tian Nai Koren
At the age of 14, Tian was already making an impression with NK Maribor’s U17 team, scoring more than 30 goals in a single season. His performances earned him a call-up to the Slovenian U17 national team, where he scored four goals in three international matches. During the 2024–2025 season, he also made his mark on the European stage: in the UEFA Youth League, he appeared in three matches and scored one goal. Koren is a player who stands out for his creativity, his mature understanding of the game, and his scoring ability. Thanks to his exceptional talent, he is considered the most technically complete midfielder of his generation (2009) in Slovenia. In early 2025, he capped off his development with his first professional contract at NK Maribor. His performances were rewarded with the next step in his soccer career at Club NXT U23. Since the 26-27 season, he has been an official member of Club Brugge’s first team.
