Awe inspiring: that's the least you can say when you're eye-to-eye with Wesley Moraes. He lets hit feet do the talking, but being 1m90 tall, he's cleary also one to watch out for in air duels. The young Brazilian forward receives kudos and praise wherever he comes, but he has one goal in mind, and he will not rest until he succeeds.
Growing up poor in Juiz de Fora, and losing his father at the age of nine, the odds weren't exactly in the young Wesley Moraes' favour. It was tough making ends meet, but football offered a way out. First indoors, but later on the pitch, where his physical attributes really shone. Many a European top team fancy the youngster playing at Itabuna Esporte Clube, and soon he makes his way across the Atlantic to Atlético Madrid, where he joins the local U19 for a year. The next stop in his career was at Slowakia, where he joined Trencin in the Summer of 2015 and made an immediate mark. Two goals in the CL prelims and six in the league later, Club comes knocking to give him a chance at the Belgian top. It's at Bruges that he's working hard to provide his family a better future: a mission we can only applaude.
