Bob Madou will become the new CEO of Club Brugge. Madou succeeds Vincent Mannaert who decided earlier this month to step down from the position at the end of the current season.
Madou (42) was born and raised in Bruges. After his studies at KU Leuven, he worked for the British Tennis Federation, as Communications Director and Chief Business Officer of the Belgian Football Federation and as a brand strategist at VRT, among others. Since February 2018, Madou has been working as Chief Business Officer at Club. In that position, he was part of the executive committee along with Mannaert and CFO Nicky Laukens, so now he is growing to CEO.
In his new position, Bob will lead an executive committee of three. Current CFO Nicky Laukens sees his duties expanded to include the entire Club operations cell, including management of Basecamp, The Nest and the Jan Breydel Stadium. In addition to CFO Nicky Laukens, Club continues to search for a new Chief Sports Officer.
