Casper Nielsen "I know better than anyone how the Union players feel right now"

Club played the game very fair and actually won 1-3 from Union, which was still a virtual champion in the ^88th minute. For Casper Nielsen it was a special duel and he tried to put that into words after the game.

"Well, I know like no other how the Union players feel right now," Casper began his explanation. "I know that this defeat hits very hard just like I had to experience last year. But look...I feel sorry for my former team, but that's just soccer. We are professional players and should always go full out and we just did that. I also understand now that our supporters will have a double feeling, i.e. happy that we won this last match, but because of our win Antwerp has now become champion. That will probably hurt a bit with supporter relations in mind. At my replacement, I was still loudly applauded by the home supporters, proving that they have not forgotten me here. Union will always have a place in my heart, let that be clear. It was a long season for us with an outstanding Champions League campaign, but really we should be able to do much better.
