Charity Night equals record revenue of €300.000

Some 500 Club Partners gathered in the Bruges Meeting & Convention Centre this night for the third edition of the Charity Night, powered by Allianz. At the New Year's reception, which is devoted to charity since 2020, the record amount of €300.000 for Club Brugge Foundation and Make-A-Wish Belgium-Flanders was once again equalled.

This time, the gala evening was dedicated to Make-A-Wish Belgium-Flanders, an organisation which has been fulfilling the biggest wishes of children aged between 3 and 18 with life-threatening medical conditions for almost 35 years.

Presenter Sofie Lemaire and chairman Bart Verhaeghe opened the event with a warm welcome and a heartfelt thank you. Novastar Solo's Joost Zweegers provided the musical accompaniment. Each table, which was sold afterwards on behalf of charity, was joined by a first team player or a former Bruges player. Furthermore, many items went under the hammer of auctioneer Leo Van der Elst: for instance the house concert by Clouseau raised no less than €32.000 and the Basecamp Cup of 50 staff members raised €7.700 extra.

After €155.885 for 'Kom op Tegen Kanker' in the first edition, and €300.000 for Special Olympics Belgium last year, this record amount was now equalled. The final amount of €285,056 was personally raised by our chairman: an amazing revenue for the benefit of Club Brugge Foundation and Make-A-Wish Belgium-Flanders.

Thank you to all our partners who attended the event!
