Club Brugge Foundation & SupportersFederatie lanceren Hand in Hand voor Blauw & Zwart

Club Brugge Foundation

Yesterday, on World Restart a Heart Day (October 16), Club Brugge Foundation and the SupportersFederation Club Brugge officially launched the new social project "Hand in Hand for Blue & Black".

During a first CPR workshop in the Extra Time of the Jan Breydel Stadium, the board members of the SupportersFederation had the chance to literally kick off this life-saving initiative. With this project, Club Brugge Foundation and the SupportersFederation want to take up their joint responsibility to make Club Brugge supporters clubs across the country more heart-safe.

Each recognized supporters' club will have the opportunity to organize its own CPR workshop in the supporters' room, under the guidance of the experienced instructors of IMDH vzw ( known from the MUG Heli of AZ Sint-Jan Brugge).

Together for a Heart Safe Club Family

During the launch, the attendees received an explanation of life-saving action, followed by a practical part where they learned CPR and how to use an AED device.
It was a strong symbolic moment in which Club Brugge, the Foundation and the supporters together showed that they are not only side by side in the stands, but also in real life - ready to help when really needed.

"A cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, including in the stands. With this project, we want to give as many Club fans as possible the knowledge and confidence to intervene in emergency situations," said Peter Gheysen, Club Brugge Foundation.
"As a Club family, we have to be there for each other. This project shows that blue-black solidarity can also save lives outside the stadium," adds Nico Cappaert, president of the Supporters' Federation.

Get involved with your supporters club

All 59 recognized supporters' clubs will be invited in the coming weeks to register for a workshop in their own supporters' clubs.
The Foundation will provide organization, planning and guidance so that each session can be tailored to the club's needs. More info and registration can be done through the project page: ALL INFO
