20! Club are champions of Belgium!

Jupiler Pro League

Champions' Play-Offs

The stars have aligned! After a 2-2 draw at KV Mechelen, Club Brugge have clinched their twentieth national title.  A great 22 out of 27 run so far in the Champions' Play-Offs have helped Club to a four point gap with runners-up Union, securing the title and a second star above their logo.

The title came after a particularly strong final phase of the season. Club started the Champions' Play-Offs in second place, one point behind leaders Union Saint-Gilloise. After two wins, the only defeat of the campaign followed at Union, but after a win on the road at Anderlecht on Match Day Six, combined with Union's point loss at STVV, Club jumped to the top of the table with a one-point lead. On Match Day Seven, Club increased its lead to four points, and on Thursday, May 22 away at KV Mechelen, it finished the job and secured the title for good. As a result, no team can surpass Club on the final day of these Champions' Play-Offs.

The culmination of a strong season, in which Club not only stood out in the Jupiler Pro League, but also enjoyed a great run in Europe, the championship came through a constant performance, strong group mentality and the belief in its own abilities, perfectly coming together at the right moments.

Sunday will see the last game of the season against KAA Gent, where as always you are welcome to soak up the atmosphere together in and around Jan Breydel. And after the final whistle, captain Vanaken will hoist the cup in the air.

The real celebration will follow on Monday at the Market Square in Bruges, where players, staff and supporters will gather to celebrate this twentieth national title! Because one thing is certain: together we are champions! You can find everything about the title at champion2526.clubbrugge.be.
