Hans Vanaken was behind Skov Olsen's opening goal immediately after halftime and saw Club create numerous more chances. Still, Blauw-Zwart stuck to a 1-1 draw for the match in a row.
"1-1 is obviously not a good result," were the Bridge captain's first words afterwards. "But if you see how the 1-1 came about... A pure lucky goal with a deviated ball and for the rest Sint-Truiden were able to threaten bitterly little. But actually we had enough chances in the second half to decide the game already. We just had to score that second goal and then it was done. Unfortunately the 2-0 did not fall and the 1-1 became the final score. Of course after that silly 1-1 we had to find the energy again to still make it 2-1, but maybe some players lacked the energy and creativity from the many games we have played so far, so we couldn't get our engine going. We tried, but things didn't go so well in the closing stages. Of course it's not good that we drew four times in a row, but rather that than winning twice and losing twice. It just remains annoying that we swallowed that goal today in a dickish way, which ultimately makes a world of difference." (FDC)
