Interland break: 11 Club players called up

We are down to the final international break of 2024. Club delegates 11 players for the national teams. Below is an overview of the different programs.

Belgium - UEFA Nations League

Maxim De Cuyper is there again for the Red Devils. He will try to continue his international career after scoring his first goal for Belgium in and against Italy.

• Thursday, November 14, 20:45 : Belgium - Italy
• Sunday, November 17, 8:45 p.m. : Israel - Belgium

Belgium is currently in third place in Group 2 with 4 out of 12. The Belgians must now grab 6 out of 6 and need a lot of windfall to avoid barrages and possible relegation to Division B.

Belgium U21 - Barrages European Championship 2025

Romeo Vermant, Jorne Spileers and Hugo Siquet must complete barrages to qualify for next year's European Championship. They lost the decisive match against Hungary in October, but still have a chance to qualify. To do so, they must overcome the Czech Republic in two matches.

• Monday, November 18, 5:30 p.m. : Czech Republic U21 - Belgium U21

Ecuador - World Cup Qualifying 2026

Ecuador begins matchday 11 of the 18 for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico next week. Joel Ordóñez and his compatriots are in 5th place with 13/30. The top 6 in South America qualify directly for the World Cup.

• Wednesday, November 20, midnight : Colombia - Ecuador

Nigeria - Qualifying AFCON 2025

Raphael Onyedika is trying to qualify with Nigeria for the AFCON 2025 in Morocco. It leads Group D by 10 out of 12 and needs just one point to secure a place among the first two to qualify for the final stage in Morocco at the end of next year.

• Thursday, November 14, 8 p.m. : Benin - Nigeria
• Monday, Nov. 18, 5 p.m. : Nigeria - Rwanda

Denmark - UEFA Nations League

Andreas Skov Olsen and Denmark are in second place in Group 4 with 7 out of 12. European Champion Spain is already seeded, only Serbia can still keep the Danes out of the top 2. In a mutual duel on the last match day of the group stage, they can take the sheet for good.

Switzerland - UEFA Nations League

Ardon Jashari is back part of Switzerland's A nucleus for the first time since last summer's European Championships. After a strong period at Club, he is still trying to avoid relegation to Division B and force barrages.

• Monday, Nov. 18, 8:45 p.m. : Spain - Switzerland

Greece - UEFA Nations League

Christos Tzolis and his teammates can force direct promotion to Division A against superpower England. In October, they pulled off a stunt at Wembley (1-2 win). Can they repeat that trick and condemn England to promotion playoffs?

• Sunday, November 17, 6 p.m. : Finland - Greece

Young national team - Barrages European Championship 2025

Bjorn Meijer returns to action for the first time after his injury with the young national team. Goalkeeper Dani van den Heuvel also joined the selection. In October, the team won their first game of the barrages from Sweden 3-0. During the diptych this international period, they take on Slovakia and England.
