Oltied Bluvn Goan! Club just played a 0-0 draw against Cercle, clinching a nineteenth national title! An incredible series in the Champions' Play-Offs thus knew a true climax. The festivities in the stadium are already underway and tomorrow we will celebrate with a title party on the Market Square in Bruges!
Club started the playoffs in shared third place, six points behind Anderlecht and nine points behind leader Union SG. After a draw on the first match day, Blauw-Zwart waltzed over the competition and took 18/18. On the penultimate match day, Club went on to win on the field of title rival Anderlecht, entering the final match day as leader. And we didn't relinquish that in the City derby. In our Fort Jan Breydel, which was churning early before kickoff, Club played to a draw. That prevented Union and Anderlecht, regardless of their result, from jumping over us.
Thus, incredible playoffs and a historic year in Europe, where Club reached the semifinals, are rewarded with a national title. And also you, without a doubt the best fans, had a big role in the triumph by unconditionally supporting and pushing us forward 'everywhere we go' .
