Rik De Mil joins KVC Westerlo

Assistent coach Rik De Mil has left Club Brugge to take the helm at KVC Westerlo.

De Mil (42) was with Blauw-Zwart since 2015 as U19 coach, coach of Club NXT, assistant coach under Carl Hoefkens, head coach and again assistant coach under current coach Ronny Deila. De Mil will now take his chance as head coach of KVC Westerlo.

After Sven Vermant, Philippe Clement and Carl Hoefkens another coach from the Club Brugge Academy are given a chance to work as head coach in our Jupiler Pro League. We wish Rik all the best and we thank him for all what he's done for the club.

Rik De Mil: "I look back to 9 brilliant years with Blauw-Zwart, both in the academy as the time I've spent with the first team. Club Brugge and all the fans will forever be a part of me, but I couldn't let this opportunity go by. I take up this challenge with a lot of eagerness and gusto. This is not a goodbye, but a see you soon!"
