Romeo Vermant: "I personally felt we were physically stronger"

"Roman indicated he had calf trouble this week, so I was already preparing to be ready for the game. Then you start and try to do your best to help the team. I almost could have scored if Vandevoordt didn't take that ball in a spectacular way and landed on the crossbar. Then the match would be different, but that didn't happen. It was a difficult match. I personally felt that we were physically stronger than Genk and that we were going to go over. We then took the 1-2 and the 1-3 a little too easily. The final game at Union will get a lot of attention. "You noticed that the supporters didn't want to see Antwerp become champions. We as players just wanted to take the three points, go full for that win and show that we can play for the championship. They will look at our performance and how we will present ourselves there.
