Vermant (19) has played at Club Brugge since 2009, entering through the U7. He went through all youth series and finally made his professional debut in 2021 when Club NXT made their first appearance in 1B. His performances did not go unnoticed, allowing him to permanently join the A-core midway through this season and make his debut at Kortrijk. Just last weekend, the striker gave the assist on Nielsen's 2-0 against Antwerp.
Romeo is the son of former Club player Sven Vermant. His grandfather Eric Van Vyve and great-grandfather Marcel Van Vyve also played in our colors. Now he sees his good performance rewarded with a contract until 2026 at Club.
