This Sunday, we head to the capital for the penultimate matchday of the season. Prepare for RSCA - Club with the Club Facts!
THE MATCH
Last season, Anderlecht was also Club Brugge’s final away match (0-1 win).
This will be the 190th encounter between the two teams in the First Division and the 95th away game. The previous 94 league matches in Brussels resulted in 14 wins (most recent: 0-3 on 12/01/2025), 31 draws (most recent: 1-1 on 24/09/2023), and 49 defeats (most recent: 2-1 on 11/04/2021).
Club Brugge is unbeaten in their last 7 away matches (3 wins, 4 draws) at RSCA. Never before has Club managed such a long unbeaten run away at Anderlecht, surpassing the previous record of 6 straight unbeaten away games from 1967 to 1973. Only against Antwerp (from Oct 1924 to Jan 1938) has Anderlecht failed to win 8 consecutive home games.
If Club Brugge wins and keeps a clean sheet, they will set a new league record. So far, Club has achieved back-to-back wins with clean sheets five times, but never three in a row.
After last weekend’s 0-2 win at KRC Genk, Club is guaranteed a top-2 finish. In the last 11 seasons, Club has finished in the top 2 ten times.
Among all players in Europe’s top 10 leagues, Brandon Mechele was the first to surpass 5,000 minutes played this season (5,040 minutes). Hans Vanaken is set to become the second (currently at 4,942 minutes).
Christos Tzolis is Club Brugge’s top scorer with 14 league goals. Across all competitions, the Greek has scored 19 times. In the past 9 seasons, only Igor Thiago (29) and Andreas Skov Olsen (26) scored more in a single season (2023–2024).
Hans Vanaken leads the league in assists (13). Only Adriano Bertaccini (STVV) and Tolu Arokodare (KRC Genk) were involved in more goals (both 25) than the Club captain (22 = 9 goals + 13 assists).
Hugo Siquet and Romeo Vermant must avoid a yellow card to prevent suspension for the final matchday against Antwerp.
THE OPPONENT
On Sunday, Anderlecht hosts Club for their final home match of the season.
Former international Jan Vertonghen (38) will bid farewell to the home fans. After 19 seasons (for AFC Ajax, RKC Waalwijk, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Benfica SL, and RSC Anderlecht), he will hang up his boots this summer.
If Antwerp loses against Union, Anderlecht secures the fourth place, earning a ticket for the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Europe League. With 6 points out of the final two games, RSCA could still snatch the third place from KRC Genk—provided the Limburgers drop points in Ghent this weekend.
Top scorer for RSC Anderlecht is Kasper Dolberg (18 goals). Anders Dreyer, who left in January, remains their top assist provider (5 assists).
