As many as 5,000 fans descended on The NEST in Roeselare on Saturday afternoon for Blauw-Zwart's first practice match against Zulte Waregem. Coach Ronny Deila gave many players minutes in an evenly matched match. The end result? 0-1.
After a first half with some small chances, it was waiting until the second half for real danger. Thiago was able to score with a clever lob on his first try, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. A few minutes later, Demuynck was allowed to go off alone on goal and Shinton was hopeless.
