In between the two midweek games against Atlético de Madrid, Blauw-Zwart hosted OH Leuven at the Jan Breydel Stadium. After a first period with a lot of chances, the difference was made after the break. Meijer and Tresoldi scored for Club, Ikwuemesi for the visitors.
After a short study phase in which there was little goal danger to note, the game suddenly accelerated with chances on both sides. For the visitors, Teklab was able to strike twice, once even forcing Mignolet into a fine save. The better chances however were for Blauw-Zwart, through Vanaken and Tzolis who both kicked wide of Prévot's goal.
Club then pushed OH Leuven completely back on their own half of the pitch, creating cross after cross and more chances. On a pass from Tzolis, Tresoldi just missed, and on the corner kick that followed, Meijer headed just wide. Prévot kept Meijer from scoring again with a cat reflex. Tresoldi and again Tzolis also failed to score. Both teams went into halftime with a scoreless tie.
The second period started with the same eleven and the same pattern as in the first half. OH Leuven came close in the opening minutes and forced several corner kicks, but the first big chance was again for Club. Tresoldi took a cross from Vanaken on the slipper in one go, but saw Prévot make a fine save. Blauw-Zwart kept pushing and was rewarded for its attacking prowess with the opening goal from Meijer on a pass from Forbs. The beginning of a few mad minutes, as the visitors immediately brought the boards level through Ikwuemesi. That score, too, was on the board for only a few minutes or the newly substituted Stankovic played Tresoldi into the small corner who put Prévot ahead.
With about twenty minutes left on the clock, a deep ball from Pletinckx did not make it out of the sixteen, whereupon Vergoote pointed to the spot for a foul by Siquet on Maziz at the signal of the VAR. Schrijvers kicked the eleven-meter high over Mignolet's goal. The warning arrived, as Blauw-Zwart pushed the gas pedal a little deeper again. Forbs twice went down his flank resulting in a superb cross, but Gil cleared Diakhon's shot off the line. In a nervous finale, the visitors could no longer threaten Mignolet.
