Club wins practice game from Seraing 2-0

During the last international break of the year, Club practiced in Westkapelle against Seraing. Club prevailed throughout the match, winning 2-0 after goals by Thiago and Barberá.

Club started the match eagerly and completely took control of the opening quarter. The first big chance came after 13 minutes of soccer. Balanta played the ball to De Cuyper, who passed the ball to Vanaken from the left. The captain dribbled into the sixteen and was able to kick, but Seraing's goalkeeper was just inches away.

Club continued to play well organized and had the upper hand in possession of the ball. Just before the end of the first half, Seraing was able to set up, but Mechele was well between them. This was followed by another Club counterattack: via De Cuyper it went to Barberá, but he kicked just wide of goal.

Club went to rest with a 0-0 score.

Second Half

Club started the second half firmly and immediately created danger. After a nice action by Nielsen and Thiago, Homma came very close to scoring the 1-0, but first the post got in the way and in the rebound Mvoué was able to prevent the goal.

After 55 minutes, Club deservedly took the lead through Thiago. He converted the penalty himself after the foul was made on him. He kicked hard to the left and so out of reach of the goalkeeper. A first real counter-punch by Seraing followed in the ^65thminute. Bayo only came face to face with Jackers, but he prevented the equalizer with a clever save.

Club continued to play good soccer in the second half and often created danger. De Cuyper crossed the ball from the left flank to Barberá, whereupon the Spaniard slid the ball under the goalkeeper, putting the 2-0 on the board after 72 minutes of play.

Club eventually won the practice game 2-0.
