January 19, 2023, Stayen, Sint-Truiden. A day Clubfan Koen will never forget. Suddenly the lights went out. The quick reaction of our blue-black family saved his life. It became clear once again: every minute counts.
On a Thursday evening in January, Clubfan Koen and hundreds of other supporters made the long journey to Sint-Truiden. After handing out all the tickets on the bus & greeting fellow supporters in the stands, Koen suddenly collapsed just before kick-off. A cardiac arrest. They happen everywhere, including stadiums.
Thanks to the quick response of surrounding supporters and emergency workers, Koen came back awake after 11 days in a coma.
