On Wednesday, December 7, Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9, nearly 750 pupils descended on the Jan Breydel Stadium for the closing event of the schools project "Scoring for Health". To conclude the 15 lessons within this school project, the participating classes were again invited for a few hours of sports and games. This way, all participating pupils and teachers could conclude this project together.
FROM KICK-OFF TO FINAL EVENT: A COURSE OF 15 LESSONS
For 4 months, the participating students of the Scoring for Health project immersed themselves in the course of 15 lessons centered on healthy eating and exercise. Thus, 15 lessons were provided for them, including theory but also practice: 4SS test, healthy breakfast, mental resilience exercises, and much more.
SOCCER AS AN ADDITIONAL MOTIVATOR
By offering this project to these students as one of the most famous soccer clubs in Belgium, you provide an extra motivator to push the children towards healthier eating and more exercise. Thus, all kinds of motivational videos of players and players of the A-core, NXT and YLA were provided, the children received fun Club Brugge Foundation branded gadgets such as a drinking bottle, a backpack and a lunch box.
NEW THIS YEAR: MENTAL HEALTH
This year we proposed a new theme with the Scoring for Health curriculum, Mental Health.
As health is about much more than just healthy food and sports, this new theme could no longer be left out of the curriculum.
On the initiative of the Club Brugge Foundation, 5 mini-lessons were integrated with the following themes:
- Setting limits
- Dealing with stress
- Self-confidence
- Mindset
- Over-stimulation
