On Saturday, Club YLA was scheduled to play the derby against Essevee Women. Although the match seemed to end in a draw, Stephanie Da Eira headed in the absolute close of the match to make it 2-1.
The first chance of the match was for the visitors. A header was put in front of goal, but Marie Elferink kept the ball out of her goal with a fine save. Shortly afterwards another goal threat from Essevee Women followed, but the ball went wide. The first big chance for Club YLA came from Chloé Vande Velde. The midfielder kicked from just outside the penalty area, but the ball hit the crossbar. Zulte counterattacked with a shot from just outside the box, but again goalkeeper Elferink did a good job. The teams went to rest with 0-0 on the scoreboard.
Shortly after halftime it was Zulte Waregem that took the lead through Oona Careel. She tapped in a cross from the right flank. In the 80th minute, Lisa Petry was able to score the equalizer on a pass from Rania Boutiebi. After that, Club YLA was on top and created a lot of goal danger. In the added time of the match, Stephanie Da Eira headed in the lead, ensuring that the 3 points stayed at home.
